Lorenzo Sandoval works as an artist and curator. He was part of ‘Canine Wisdom for the Barking Dog. Exploring the sonic cosmologies of Halim El Dabh’ curated by Bonaventure Soh Bejeng Ndikung, Kamila Metwaly and Marie Helénè Pereira for the 13th Dak’art Biennale (2018) and a member of the Miracle Workers Collective who represented Finland in the 58th Venice Biennale (2019). His project ‘Shadow Writing’ is a multi-chapter research on the collectivisation of factories that has been presented as (Fábrica Colectiva) at IVAM Alcoi (2019), (Lace/Variations) in Lehman + Silva Gallery in Porto and Nottingham Contemporary (2018), and (Algorithm/Quipu) in LABoral, Gijón (2017), Swartzsche Villa, Berlin (2018) and Göteborg Bienial, (2019). Together with Tono Vízcaino, Sandoval is preparing a ‘Industria. A partial study about sound and immaterial practices in the industrial heritage of Comunidad Valenciana’ for IVAM-Institut Valencià d’Art Modern (2020-2021), and monographic presentation, curated by Emanuele Guidi at Centro Párraga in Murcia (2020). Since 2015, Sandoval runs The Institute for Endotic Research, which opened as a venue in 2018, co-directed by Benjamin Busch.
